Everyone just needs a girls day every now and then..

One of my best friends, Elise, is about to move away, and as bummed as I am about her leaving, I am enjoying spending our time together. Today we had a pretty good girls day.

I have been doing enough for the babes, and even though we kind of know the sex, I am waiting on the confirmation to do anymore shopping, so why not pamper momma?

We started out doing glitter nails, which a friend had posted a link about on facebook! It was super cute, glitter fading from the tip of the nail to the bed, which was fun to learn to do and turned out amazing!

Oh, and please notice the german chocolate cupcake Elise treated me to :)

We then headed over to the hair salon, and got some pretty rad feather extensions and made a new friend.

All in all, we had a blast. I also forgot to mention, our battle with King Koopa on Mario.

Father's Day Gifts

I was unsure about what to get the Husb for his first Father's To Be Day.

We still didn't know what we were having, but I wanted to make it special and simple and have fun with it.

Soo... I went to Burlington Coat Factory and picked up some newborn long sleeve onesies since the babes are being born in winter - then headed over to Hobby Lobby to pick up some fabric markers, and had some fun!

I wanted the onesies to be special to the Husb so I made a I heart Mustaches, a pirate onesie, and Thing 1 and Thing 2 since that is our theme for the baby shower.

I love the way they turned out and I have to say it was really sweet seeing his reaction!

Happy Father's Day

I wanted to wish a Happy Father's Day to the most important men in my life.

My Papa, Soon to be dad, the Husb, and my amazing dad!
I couldn't have asked for better influences while being raised or to have better support systems.

I know the Husb is going to be the most amazing father also, and I can't wait!

My Bump!

Woo Hoo! I have a little bump! Now, I can wear slim fitting clothing without feeling
like I just finished off a six pack with some burgers!

A Weeks Post...

I haven't done too much this week, besides clean and run some errands, I am getting ready for my Mother In Law to come into town tomorrow!

We are going to be doing 5 days worth of nursery - baby activities, so I figured I would hold off..

So here are some photos ( mostly of food ) of what I have been up to this week

Here Comes The Nesting...

This was one of the first, and last, weekends that the Husb and I are home alone with no visitors and are not out of town.

My list on the Honey-Do list was getting pretty looong - and add on top one of my pups (and favorite) was leaving.

Here is some background...

When the Husb and I met, I had a cockerspaniel named Reily. My mom had one for over 15 years named Christy and she was such a loving, loyal dog that when she passed away, I wanted to get one.
I was a junior in high school and Reily has been my pal through end of high school, college, moving to different cities, and the married life. However, we have always known Reily isn't great with babes and toddlers, specifically kids don't know boundaries and she doesn't like them in her face. As much as I love her, I know I am going to love my babes and I don't want to put them in harms way... So we found a GREAT family for her.

Saturday I was a wreck, I was so upset to see her go. But, it seems like someone had bigger plans because four hours into her new home, the family had an older member that couldn't take an inside dog, and even though they had discussed it, it was much different once she got there. So, Reily came back home :)

For now, I am enjoying having her home - knowing that in the back of my mind it is going to be short lived.

Other than the dramatics, the Husb and I had a great weekend.

We went and visited my good friends home and her chickens :) Then got to the Honey-Do list!

We added in a little more fun with some girl pool time - Obviously Miss Chanlie wasn't digging me ;)
