A New Year's Resolution.

With each new year, comes new resolutions.
I usually don't make them, or give them much thought. I already enjoy the most common resolution -  working out {although this may need to be brought back up the priority list since I have only ran once since being cleared}.
So, what would I like to focus on, or change for 2012?

1. Balance. I need to still have some work out time which really helps me to clear my head and re-focus.
2. Appreciation. Sometimes I need to relax on my "woosah" moments and appreciate times, people..help.
3. Continue to be inspired and do my projects, and do something with retail again. Even if it is small.
4. Be the best mommy I can be to my little ones. I have so much planned, thought about, and dreamed about for them in the next year.

See you next year!

PS. another resolution after last night would be to buy two flashlights. Apparently when the power goes out randomly not only do I automatically assume some masked man is about to break in, but it is also difficult to change a dirty diaper.

JAM Sessions

Since becoming a mom, there is one major thing that I miss. Jamming out in my car.
I am terrified I am going to hurt the babes ears, so whenever I am in my car solo {which has only happened like four times} I turn the radio up and JAM! And, since I get very few and far between jam sessions, I want to hear alllll my favorite songs in a random medley. So, what have I been jamming to you ask?

PS. Some of these songs are courtesy of the hubs putting them on my phone

Maybe, I should buy the babes these?

because that baby looks stoked!

Three Rivers.

I had my first real "trip" with the babes yesterday. For the sisters birthday we all traveled to Three Rivers where my Papa lives to meet, have lunch, and enjoy some family time. My Papa has so many amazing family photos, mixed with Texas memorabilia.. it just made for a great afternoon.

Not to mention the babes were rockstars.

{old town Three Rivers, it hasn't changed much}

{J is such a ham, already stole Papa's heart}

{front porch}

{papa's hat rack}

{a real Texan lunch - no plates}

 {who needs a Texas mirror?}

 {my parents.. I wonder where N gets his red hair from...}

Birthdays.

Today is my big sisters 28th birthday!

Happy Birthday!

I took this little gem of a photo displayed at my Papa's house today, where my family drove in from three different cities to celebrate and visit.

Holiday Weekend Snapshots

I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays!
I wanted to make the babes first Christmas a memorable one {of course for the hubs and I since they won't remember a thing} but the hubs thought I was a little on the crazy side.

here are some of the weekends moments.

The Fanatics.

A sweet little old Grandma held me hostage yesterday in Hobby Lobby. No joke here, people.
She seriously would not let me leave.

A couple of days earlier I was about to go on a run when it started drizzling, I had the babes covered and bundled in their stroller, but I had a friendly neighborhood mom also hold me hostage. While I was getting poured on, all she wanted to discuss was what was under the buggy.

I have already encountered enough of the twin fanatics, and for the most part I try to smile and answer their questions...
"Yes, Twins!"
"Yup, boy and girl.."
"about 5 weeks now."
"Nope, natural and early.. yes.. {insert awkward chuckle}"

but goodness it makes me feel awkward and I am not too sure why.

I was never really a "baby" person until I had babies. I mean they were cute, but they just weren't apart of my life... Now I love babies. I openly reached for my friends two week old babe and didn't want to let her go {but she got hungry and well that can also be awkward} However, I never stop someone in a store, or out and about and start asking questions. I guess twins just up the ante because the crazies come out of the wood work.

I bet strangers wouldn't ask so many questions if they weren't angels while we are out and looked more like this meltdown..

PS. If you know me, you know how I feel about awkward situations..  I freak out.
uno mas PS. How many times can I saw awkward in ONE post?
