I have been gone recently, I have been packing for four and yesterday we were on our way to California! I won't be posting during this time, but when I get back be ready for a photo overload.
We made it in sort of one piece yesterday and were all smiles by the time we got in the car!
Have a great week - weekend!

9 Months.
N-
- I think you will be walking by your first birthday! You have taken so many steps and always want to be on the go!
- Your bottom tooth finally made an appearance, and with the amount of time you were up last night, I would say another one is following close after.
- You are so shy. I am not sure if it because you are a momma's boy, or if you just take everything in from afar.
- You are J's biggest entertainment, and you love to make her laugh.
- I keep trying to beef you up, but you weigh 18 pounds and are 26.75 inches!
- I can seriously feed you anything and you will eat it.. I haven't decided if this is a good thing or not.
J-
- You have four teeth now! You like to play with them and chew on things!
- You are also finally crawling! I think you would have started earlier, but you always follow brother and he has been pulling himself up so much you sort of skipped crawling and tried to stand.
- You are now weighing 20 pounds and 5 ounces and are 27 inches!
- Your personality has really been showing through and you are such a sweetheart, you love to giggle!
-Pears are currently your favorite, along with watermelon and peas.

Weekend Snapshots.
Be prepared for a photo overload!
No, just kidding.. I took only a handful of photos this weekend. Mainly because the next two weeks are going to be crazy/hectic/relaxing/jam packed/ and exciting! So, I really wanted to lounge around and enjoy the family time.
{crossed over. Momma - daughter shoes}
{wearing dada's hat and has his car. what else does he need?}
{playing peek - a - boo}
{this kid took an epic 3 hour nap. I probably shouldn't be looking at the photo though when he hasn't napped all morning}
{mooyah. I need an intervention, seriously.}
{snapshot from the hubs. It really could not be more perfect}

Stage 4 Climber.
Is it bad that I just laughed and took photo/videos of this? This kid entertains me all day. Granted sometimes that entertainment is the sort that I enjoy, but hey.. he will only be this age for so long, right?

Don't call it a mom cut.
This past year was the longest my hair has been, in.. well, ever. I decided I am not cut out to be a long haired girl. Beside the obvious babe pulling competitions, it was just annoying to be honest. So - back to the short, easy hair. I have to admit though, with one chop of the scissors I felt like my old self again.
{take a good look, my hair will never look this good again}

{these two. never gets old}
{mooyah. I mean it isn't a weekend post without food}
{how rude. he kept attacking me with his new toy during mama's nap time}

Hit Man.
My Papa called me yesterday and just mentioned he hadn't heard from me in a while and was just checking in. I jokingly told him that I think my babes are trying to kill me so if he doesn't hear from me within a week, contact the hubs.
I really think this is true though. It seems like Nixon went from 0-60 with crawling to pulling up to trying to walk. Yes, people.. this kid has held himself up and taken steps.
He has also become aggressive with J and I am unsure if "it is just a boy thing" or if I need to start disciplining. Doesn't 9 months seem a little young to be disciplining? Not according to our pediatrician.
In the meantime, I have used "jail" as a solution. He seems to really enjoy it.

Go Team!
I seriously love the Olympics. What is better than watching grown men compete on the trampoline or watch the Russians completely break down and cry? I know awful, but so funny at the same time.
Apparently, Dada got to this little girl and she is cheering for Great Britain.

Weekend Snapshots.
{babes on a bike ride. This always seems like a genius idea, until it is ten minutes into it and I am biking up hill.. but, the kids loved it}
{two fussy babes + two strollers in the house = stroller races. I wish I had audio from this}
{just munching down some carrot}
{auntie A multi-tasking - and J running into my fridge}
{dadas hat}
{pure entertainment}
{a night out with great friends and family}
{apparently, this was the dress code. even the guy in the bathroom got the memo}
{this kid. Climbing, crawling - everything}

Sisters.
Sisters are just bad news all around, except for the times growing up that you can blame stuff on them.
My sister is visiting right now, and even though she has stayed busy working - she has found the time to be trouble. With only two days into her trip she convinced me I needed to dye my own hair. Something I have not done in probably 6 or 7 years. Most likely, because the last time I did it turned out bad.
You would think I would remember this, but I didn't and I did my hair and it is slightly orange. So, until I get my hair done next week, be ready for a lot of photos with cute hair accessories.
Thank goodness I can still find the laughter in all of this, and no one will question the color of my babes hair, right?
{payback, Andi. Pay back. This was taken on a flight to San Francisco
and is the photo for when she calls me. LOVE YOU!}

A little bit of history.
A couple of weeks ago, my mom and I cruised into an old boutique that she used to shop at for my sister and I. When was awesome to be in my old part of town that I still consider where I grew up. On the way home, we decided to drive by our old house. This was the house I came home to and was raised in for almost ten years, and have some amazing memories.
I remember the backyard being bigger, but I also remember the back deck icing over during one of our freak ice storms, or the fig tree in the neighbors yard that we would always hide in, and how Christy our cocker spaniel dug up my moms flower bed to have her pups.
There are some things that are different. The mail box in the front was made entirely out of stone. I picked up a lose one once and was covered in ants in a few seconds.
Mostly, I just remember an amazing childhood. The hubs and I have thought about our dream house so many times {who doesn't} all I know is I love my home! I love the layout - I love that this is where I came home married and brought the babes to.. but I know this won't be our "family" home.
I don't know what our dream home is, but I do know I want the kids to be able to play and run and know their neighbors.
Until then though, they say home is where the heart is, and it definitely is here.
